About Our Team

The Hunters is a high school student team counting 1 girl and 4 boys (10th - 12th grade) from San Francisco, California.

Our team is grateful to AWS who is funding our program and providing a great location for us to meet twice a week. They are the BEST!

Our Motto: Stand Strong Together!

Our Value: Raise the bar!

Involved in robotics for the 6th year, we started in Vex IQ and moved on to Vex VRC!

We're so excited to experience the thrill and excitement on this new challenge!

"This is my 6th year in robotics and I’m loving it! I started when I was in elementary school doing IQ and am continuing on in high school doing VRC. I enjoy participating in all aspects of robotics but my favorite would definitely be programming. I love seeing how some simple lines of code can make a robot complete a task without any manual control! I've been with the Hunters for all 4, soon-to-be 5, years of my robotics experience and cannot wait to see what this new season holds!"

"My name is Kush Khanna. I am in 12th grade and I go to American High School. This is my sixth year doing robotics in the Rainforest organization and my third year participating in Vex EDR competitions. Every year, I am one of the key programmers of my team, and this year is no different. I have always been a fan of programming and seeing what you can make robots do autonomously. The autonomous period at the beginning of each match this year has more impact than any previous challenges due to the extra win point, so I have to make sure that the program works well. I am looking forward to seeing how this year plays out."

I enjoy building, designing, working on the website and making robot reveal videos. My personal goal for the season is centered around programming, I want to learn the language, and make my programs more efficient. This year I am working on the 15 second autonomous period. My hobbies include video editing, video games and soccer. I’m really looking forward to this season, and the challenge."

"My name is Nicolas and this is my second year doing VRC in Rainforest. I competed in 5th grade and now am fascinated by robotics and how you can make something execute tasks for you. I like to build and also make programs for calculating scores. I am the competition analyst and like researching about what the competition has for us. I am so excited to start competing in the season."
